National Anthem of The Philippines – Lupang Hinirang – Lupang Hinirang is a Tagalog language known as the “Chosen Land”. It is the Philippines national anthem. The music was composed by Julian Felipe in year 1898, and also the lyrics had been adapted from the Spanish poem “Filipinas” in 1999 and written by José Palma. Originally written as the incidental music, it didn't have lyrics after it was created as being the anthem of the revolutionary First Philippine Republic as well as later played throughout the Philippine independence proclamation on June 12, 1898.

The sun signifies the start of a new era of self dedication. The sun's 8 rays indicate the Eight provinces that took up in revolt against Spanish governance in the past 19th century. The three stars represents the 3 geographic principal areas of the nation; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Possibly unique around the world, is that the country carries a pieacetime flag and a wartime flag. The flag exhibited above is, let's hope, the one we will see always. Blue color on the top signifies peacetime. During wartime the flag may have the red stripe on top.
