Dinagyang Festival 2016, Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY—Figures of crabs, catfish, corn and mangoes as tall as persons moved on the principle lanes of this city on Saturday, enlivening observers in the current year's festival of the Dinagyang Festival.


The figures in splendid hues were a piece of the props of 10 contending bunches in the Kasadyahan territorial social celebration.

The exhibitions showcased commonplace and civil celebrations and in addition their way of life and lifestyle.

The gatherings from Iloilo included Tribu Pantat (Zarraga), Tribu Bantayan (Guimbal), Tribu Kasag (Banate) and Tribu Salakayan (Miag-ao).

Tribu Padagyaw of Dumarao and Tribu Patabang of Tapaz performed for Capiz alongside Tribu Tatusan of Caluya, Antique and Hubon Igbantog sa Karosa of Nueva Valencia on Guimaras Island.

Tribu Tatusan, named after “tatus,” a blue-striped crab, guarded its crown.

Its entertainers delineated mammoth crabs while those of Guimaras included huge mangoes, the region's principle fascination.

Tribu Pantat of Zarraga, Iloilo included 10-foot tall catfish, a primary result of the town.
